Life in a Northern Town

Here’s a side of my work that I don’t share very often. In my spare time I love capturing portraits of people around my native North East England. From the fishermen of North Shields, Pigeon Fanciers in Wallsend, Greasy Spooner Cafes, Quakers and even the Mayor of Darlington inside the Clock Tower. My image of scallop fisherman ‘JP’ was one of the winning photographs in the very first ‘Portrait of Britain’ back in 2016.
